9 Visual Indicators Setup and Configuration Apex support can assist during next upgrade –To use this feature, you will need to add a Visual Status field to the ticket screen: –Status field specified in a Scale Ticket screen template. An example of the visual status field in the scale ticket screen template: @Field = 768, "VISUAL_STATUS", 360, 15, 15, 590, 590, X, " –The field number for the Visual Status field is "768". Scale Tickets programs can be customized to hide some of the tool bar buttons. –Why Hide some of the tool bar buttons if you dont use their functionality Simplify the design of the ticket screen for special- purpose use Not a security function, just a feature to eliminate visual tool bar buttons. –Users can still access functions with a mouse or function keys. 24 Rescale Screen Rescaling the Screen Overview –Many of the Apex program screens can be rescaled in size. In this example, the ticket screen. –You may want to rescale a screen for some specific purpose or for a better visual display –Example would be to enlarge the ticket screen to fill the entire display for better focus. 33 Vehicle Ticket Inquiry What Is Past Tickets? Provide an inquiry of a specific trucks recent tickets available to the operator from the ticket screen. Intended to provide operator with a quick way to review a trucks past tickets. –Quick inquiry or create a new ticket with the previous ticket data select. In earlier versions, the operator could only duplicate a ticket from the trucks previous ticket on the same day. Why would the operator need to use this feature? What's New with Apex Ticketing? 33

34 Vehicle Ticket Inquiry Its common for a truck driver to show up at the plant or quarry and request the same thing I got last time. The operator will benefit by having a way to look up the recent past tickets for a truck. What's New with Apex Ticketing? 34

35 Past Tickets Features of Vehicle Ticket Inquiry –Quick view of vehicles past tickets. Limited to number of days tickets are kept on current system. –User can select and view an existing ticket for reference. –User can select and create a new ticket on the current ticket screen. 43 What is Deny Rights A security feature Allow one group of users to use a special ticketing function but deny another group from using the same feature. Example: Both groups are on the same Apex system. –A quarry operation and recycle operation are on the same property using the same Apex system. What's New with Apex Ticketing? 43

79 Require Tare Next Load You can configure Apex to require a tare weight on a vehicles next load. What's New with Apex Ticketing? 79

80 Require Tare Next Load If a vehicle changes trailers, you may want to set that vehicle to require a tare weight on the next load. This feature supplements other logic that require a tare weight. –Tare interval days specifies a new tare weight after number of days. –This feature will supersede the interval days, and require a tare weight on the next load no matter when the last tare weight was captured. There are three ways to require a next load tare. –Set the vehicles Tare Next Load in the Vehicles screen. –Change the vehicles configuration in Vehicles or Tickets screen. –Enter a manual tare weight in the Tickets screen.
