2. Ansel Adams Born in 1902 in San Francisco He was a gifted pianist In 1916 his family visited Yosemite and Ansel was taken by the beautiful natural landscape. He began taking pictures in 1927, by 1940 his photography was well known. In 1970 he discovered he loved the Arizona landscape nearly as much as Yosemite. He died in 1984.
