3 1.- Definition O The igneous rock, A.K.A. Born of fire is one of the three main rock types. Igneous rock is formed through the cooling and solidification of magma or lava. Igneous rock may form with or without crystallization, below the surface are (plutonic) rocks and on the surface as (volcanic) rocks.

12 4.- Uses O The igneous rocks are very useful to decorate. For example, some floors are made up of granite, some tables are also made up of marble, and the pumice is used in the cosmetic area.
