Our traditions We have a Kölcsey uniform but we only have to wear it on special days We have a freshmen party for the new classes in our school, it includes a funny competition, a vow and a ball. We commemorate all our national celebrations. We have a common Christmas celebration on the last day before winter holidays.
Before Christmas we collect our old toys and clothes for the kids living without parents in childrens home. There is a ribbon pinning ceremony for the school leavers when they get a small blue ribbon to wear on their clothes to show everybody that they have to take their matura exams soon. We say farewell to them on a nice celebration when they walk along the corridors and say good bye to school and younger students.
Students life It is organized by the students self government. We are eco-school and have different programmes to raise students awareness towards the problemes of Nature We have a school radio, they broadcast every day in the breakfast break. There is a 24-hour-movie.marathon every year
We vote for some bests of the actual schol year (the best student; the best teacher …) The largest venture of the self government is the students week organized every autumn, there are some traditional events of it, such as German and English afternoons, The stage is yours…. And of cours the representative(s) have rights to take part in everything where students interests are affected, let it be those of all or just individual students.
