Miguel’s Neighbors Cause Becky wears a white sweater. Effect It’s hard to see Becky. She blends in with the sheep.

7 Mrs. Prouty seems very polite.
Miguel’s Neighbors Cause Mrs. Prouty says, “Pardon me,” before she sneezes. Effect Mrs. Prouty seems very polite.

8 Stargazer speaks softly. Effect Stargazer is mellow and quiet.
Miquel’s Neighbors Cause Stargazer speaks softly. Effect Stargazer is mellow and quiet.

9 Miguel and Tia Lola Cause
Miguel wants to do something special to make Tia Lola feel welcome. Effect Miguel draws the Spanish word for “welcome” in the snow.

as he draws in the snow. Effect Miguel thinks of his father, who is an artist.

Effect Miguel sees the color comes back to Aunt Tia’s face, the sparkle returns in her eyes, and the beauty mark spreads to both sides of her mouth.
