5 Executive Coaching for Leadership Development The issues of leadership development have been subject of much research The main emphasis - to make leaders more effective Many leaders find difficult to cope with the increasing demand on their excellence in the environments of continuous changes and uncertainty of globalisation The role of coaching

6 Executive Coaching Models: An Overview There are many approaches and models used for executive coaching (e.g. Appreciative Inquiry model, Leaderplex Model of Leadership, Egans Helping Skills model, Solution Focused Model, Domains of Competence Model etc.) These models provide an approach to coaching that is usually focussed on one perspective, task or underlying philosophy A need for more integrated, holistic approach
