The Leader in the non-violent campaign against Inequality of blacks. Was a remarkable speaker and captured thousands with his vernacular. King was assasinated.
Founded the NAACP. The NAACP was a organization to help colored people in court. The organizations goal was simple; gain equality for an entire race.
John F. Kennedy was the president during the Civil Rights Movement. He helped pass laws to make sure African Americans could vote and get a better education. These laws ended segregation in public places
The first African American to be a Justice in the United States Supreme Court.
Early in his career he was the leader in the militaristic civil rights movement. Eventually he started to move towards non- violence. He was assassinated not long after he started promoting non- violence.
Famous woman who refused to give up her seat on a bus to a white individual. She was later arrested for not giving up her seat.
