9. The Project Goals To establish a network for people interested in Local Government employee health promotion To provide information and support for Municipalities and Regional Districts in British Columbia to promote healthy living for their employees

10. Project Activities A survey was sent out to all UBCM members in June to determine: what programs, initiatives and policies are currently in place successes, challenges and barriers the level of interest in forming a network of practitioners in employee health & wellness

11. Findings Over half of the respondents presently undertake employee health promotion activities 7 local governments are now considering implementing some activities for their employees 50 people have already expressed interest in being part of a civic employee health promotion network
