2 Purpose of the new information element
NOV 01 Purpose of the new information element Allow application specific networks to use baseline. Provide custom information elements to utilize application specific protocol enhancements. Allow mixed networks, with only some members having the application specific enhancements. Mark E. Schrader, Eastman Kodak Co.

3 Application Specific Information
NOV 01 Application Specific Information Element (ASIE) DATA N Element ID Octets: 1 AD-AD 1 Length Element ID = 10 Length = N + 1 Mark E. Schrader, Eastman Kodak Co.

4 Policy The ASIEs shall be the last information elements in the beacon.
NOV 01 Policy The ASIEs shall be the last information elements in the beacon. The ASIE shall only be used by the PNC after negotiating the application specific capability with a DEV. The negotiation of the application specific capability between the DEV and the PNC is beyond the scope of this specification. The use of the DATA field of the information element is beyond the scope of this specification. Mark E. Schrader, Eastman Kodak Co.
