Task 1: Spend a moment brainstorming words you know as Gaeilge on the topic of personalities. Think of your own children to get you started. Make notes! Then move on to the next slide!

Task 3: Some of the words that Edel used in the recording are listed in the box opposite. Some will be familiar and others will be new. Try to learn a few. Add the new words to your vocabulary notebook.

Task 4: Now watch the recording again. This time you’ll have your new words to hand. Can you understand more than you did last time? You can also use the tapescript on the following slide and read along with Edel as she talks.

7. Task 5: Try to compose a few sentences about your children’s personalities, using Edel’s recording as a model.
Option: Send the recording to a fellow- parent in your class (on your phone, maybe) if you can, and get some feedback on your effort!

Note the structure ‘níos réchúisí’ – more laid-back.
Here are some common adjectives with their superlatives:
