Actively championed the measure: -- Rep. Michael Turner, R-OH - original author -- Sen. Joni Ernst, R-IO - worked with Blumenthal's office -- Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-CT - drafted original Senate report language that ultimately fell out; worked with Ernst's office to align support -- Sen. Mazie K. Hirono, D-HI - expressed her support -- Sen. Brian Schatz, D-HI - expressed support on appropriations side, both verbally and with draft language; monitored NDAA status closely -- Rep. Luke Messer, R-IN - sent letter to "Big 4" Big 4: -- Sen.
