XVL Studio Ver. 10.1b

General Features

Lattice Technology, Inc. 4 [S-1] Sub Menus Description: You can add sub menus to customized toolbars. Menu: [Tools] > [Customize] January 2012 Both main menus and sub menus are included in the customized tool bar. Sub Menus Benefit: More flexibility for customized toolbars.

Lattice Technology, Inc. 5 [S-2] Can Display Property Values in Tooltips Description: Property value is displayed in tooltip when hovering the mouse cursor over a part. Menu: [Tools] > [Options] > [Graphics] tab January 2012 Specify the property to display. Tooltip Benefit: Property values are easily checked.

Lattice Technology, Inc. 6 [S-3] Can Export HTML5 Content Description: The 3D content is exported as an HTML5 page with multiple image sequences. Menu: [File] > [Export] > [HTML5 File] January 2012 Studio Standard Studio Pro Orthographic View Pseudo-3D View Multiple image sequences of the 3D model are exported so that Pseudo-3D viewing is available in HTML5. * XVL Player is NOT required to view the HTML5 content. Benefit: It is possible to view the Pseudo-3D data in any browser that supports HTML5 including Internet Explorer, FireFox, Chrome, Safari, and Android.

DMU Features

Lattice Technology, Inc. 8 [S-4] Can Save Check Result in XV0 File Description: You can now save the interference/difference check results in XV0 Assembly files. January 2012 Difference Check Studio Pro XV0 Check results are saved in the top XV0 file. Save as dialog Saved

Lattice Technology, Inc. 9 [S-5] More Difference Check Settings Description: You can specify the detection precision and sampling distance for difference check. Menu: [Evaluation] > [Check Difference] January 2012 Difference is detected only when the distance is larger than this value. When you specify larger sampling distance, the processing speed will be faster with less memory consumption. Difference Check

Lattice Technology, Inc. 10 [S-6] Can Rotate the Profile View Description: You can rotate the Cross-section profile in the Profile View window. Menu: [Profile View / Dynamic Profile View] January 2012 Benefit: You can view the profile in the appropriate view direction. Profile view Use Examine to rotate the profile in 2D. Studio Pro

Lattice Technology, Inc. 11 [S-7] Pinching Posture Description: Human models can use two fingers to pinch objects. Menu: January 2012 [Human] > [Auto Grasp] Human Select this option Pinching posture = OFF Pinching posture = ON When auto grasp is executed, it grasps the object with all fingers. When auto grasp is executed, it grasps the object with two fingers.

Lattice Technology, Inc. 12 [S-8] Performance Enhancement - Dynamic Interference Description: Improved the processing speed in multiple CPU environments. Menu: January 2012 [Evaluation] > [Dynamic Collision Detection] * In multiple CPU environments, the processing speed of dynamic interference can be three times faster than the previous version.

Lattice Technology, Inc. 13 [S-9] Sample Tools Description: This version includes sample tools. Location: January 2012 C:\Program Files\Lattice\Studio2\Samples\Tools Spanner Socket Hex wrench ScrewdriverAir impact driver Electric impact driver Box wrench

Lattice Technology, Inc. 14 [S-10] Inverse Kinematics Description: This version supports Inverse kinematics. Menu: January 2012 Structure Panel: [Kinematic Tree] > [Preview Kinematics] In preview mode, you can check the robot motion using inverse kinematics. * Inverse kinematics is supported in preview mode only (not in animation).

Process Design

Lattice Technology, Inc. 16 [S-11] Process Tree Changes Description: Default tree type is now Path Authoring. Process part is now called Task. Menu: Structure Panel: [Process] January 2012 Studio Standard Studio Pro Default tree type: Path Authoring mode Process Tree is displayed as a hierarchy. Process part is now called Task.

Lattice Technology, Inc. 17 [S-12] Manufacture Tree Description: The Manufacture Tree defines sub-assemblies. Menu: January 2012 Studio Standard Studio Pro New sub assembly structures are defined in the Manufacture Tree. Sub assembly for manufacture Manufacture sub assembly is added to the Process Tree. Manufacture sub assembly is listed in the process list. Process Panel: [Edit Manufacture Tree]

Lattice Technology, Inc. 18 [S-13] Automatic Process Animation (Path Authoring) Description: Path Authoring processes can create process animations automatically. Menu: Process Panel: [Operation] menu > [Auto Path Generate] January 2012 Studio Standard Studio Pro Property dialog Can specify the part disassembly direction for Path Authoring animations the same way as for Normal process animations. * NOTE: Automatic animations can be generated for tasks, but not for base processes.

Lattice Technology, Inc. 19 [S-14] Setting Starting Position of Animation Path Description: Can specify the starting positions of animation paths. Menu: Edit Process Animation Panel: [Trajectory line position setting] January 2012 Studio Standard Studio Pro Select the selection method from the list, and then select the starting point of the animation path. By default, the animation path is drawn from the center of the target object. The new setting enables you to change the starting point of the animation path. * This feature will be supported in the following products: - XVL Player Ver. 12.0 - Lattice3D Reporter Ver.6.0

Lattice Technology, Inc. 20 [S-15] Alert Enhancements Description: You can add multiple alerts with leader lines. You can also edit the display status of alerts in animation. Menu: Edit Process Animation Panel: [Edit Alert] January 2012 Studio Standard Studio Pro Each alert is registered as an animation object. Can edit display status. Can add multiple alerts. Leader line Edit Process Animation panel * This feature will be supported in the following products: - XVL Player Ver. 12.0 - Lattice3D Reporter Ver.6.0

Lattice Technology, Inc. 21 [S-16] Export Process Objects in IGES Description: You can export the parts associated with selected processes/tasks in IGES format. Menu: January 2012 Studio Standard Studio Pro Process Panel: [Operation] > [Export Geometry File] Export IGES Benefit: Exported IGES data can be imported into CAD systems for use as reference parts when designing tooling for the task.
