3 Social work education in Sweden More theory and academy, (knowledge from authorities) Less practical knowledge in the education, (knowledge from yourself how to act and choose in the profession) ? Practical knowledge is not applied theory.

5 Aristotle Practical knowledge PRAXIS POIESIS Action Fronesis /sagacity/ Man has freedom to choose how to act The object is life itself Consulting with yourself which action is the best Virtues like Courage, Temperance, Liberality, Magnificence, Magnanimity, Truthfulness, Friendliness etc. Making Techne / proficience / Basically anonymous It is not important who makes the job as long as it follows the plan or the receipt.

8 CREATIVITY & SPONTANEITY The universe is infinite creativity. Spontaneity is the constant companion of creativity. It is the existential factor intervening" for creative processes to be released. Creativity is the ever nourishing maternal center; Spontaneity is the ever moving masculine fertilizer; conserve is the product and synthesis of their interaction.

9 SPONTANIETY Spontaneity is an unconservable energy and can´t be saved One either is spontaneous at a given moment or one is not Spontaneity is NOT impulsively. (Impulsive is acting from desire and often compulsive.)

10 TRUE SPONTANIETY True spontaneity is a high grade creativity variety of genius. An adequate response to the situation. Characteristics -both novel and creative New and useful for some purpose

11 Spontaniety requires The person in the profession is important (it is not the method which makes changes, it is the person in the methods) Master Eckhart (1260-1328) says a man can´t be whole in what he does, if he is not whole in what he is Warm-up- a sense of trust and safety, a receptivity to intuitions, images, feelings, a movement towards risk taking and exploration into novelty Self-knowledge & self-awareness Reflection
