Eosinophil Recruitement
FIRST EXPOSURE Interleukins 4&5 IgE Antibodies Epithelial Damage Eotoxins IgE Fc Receptor Interleukins 3&5 Eosinophil Recruitement Mast Cells Activation Smooth Muscle Spasm Release of Granules & Mediators Fc receptor is a protein found on the surface of certain cells. Granules and mediators include HISTAMINES, LEUKOTRIENES AND PROSTAGLANDINS. Release of granules and mediators causes itching and skin rashes. Treatment will be antihistaminics, leukotriene inhibitors or mast cells inhibitors. Smooth muscle spasm in addition to edema can cause breathing difficulty. Antihistaminics, mast cells inhibitors, steroids, vasodilators will be included in the treatment. Mucus secretion will include decongestants and anticholinergics for the treatment in addition to other allergy medicines. SUBSEQUENT EXPOSURE Release of Primary & Secondary Mediators Blood Vessel Mucus Secretion Leucocyte Infiltration Edema

Production of IgE Antibodies

Allergen Cross-linkage of IgE to Fc Receptors

Allergic Mechanism
