Peterborough Squadron Memories Peter Smith and Mae Smith along with Doug Cook and Carole Cook, joined John Gullick for a unique and interesting cruise down the Trent System with a camera crew from the TV series The Great Outdoorsman. The purpose of the trip was to shoot a documentary of the boat trip from Lakefield to Peterborough as part of several programs the show produced in conjunction with CPS.
Peterborough Squadron Memories Safe and Responsible Boater Award August 2004 David Patchell-Evans of London, Ontario. a long time resident of our area at his cottage on Stoney Lake, received the first Annual Safe and Responsible Boater Award, sponsored by the Squadron, the OPP, and the Trent Severn Waterway, for helping a mother and child caught in the current while swimming near Burleigh Falls.

Award Winner January 2005 CPS Deputy Executive Director John Gullick, a long time member of the Peterborough Squadron, received the Safe Boater of the Year Award at the Canadian Safe Boating Council awards dinner in Toronto.
Peterborough Squadron Memories In Memoriam 2005 Harry Bryant, who was an active member of Peterborough Power & Sail Squadron serving as a Proctor in the Boating Class, passed away in February. He will be remembered by all Squadron members for his contributions to CPS.

Peterborough Squadron Memories Our Squadron Pennant was designed to incorporate the Peterborough Lift Lock as designed by local artist George Elliott. In 2009, a gold bar was added to the fly of the Pennant to create a Longevity Pennant to denote the Squadron's 50th Anniversary.
