Online shopping was a small start up in the early 80’s that has now grown into a research for retailers to sell products. The problem is that online shopping has taken more consumer out of the store. This research is in analysis of how this has affected retailers and getting the consumers perspective on online shopping.

Online shopping sales worldwide has grown up to 1.08 trillion dollars and is projected to reach 2.48 trillion by 2018.
Consumers are finding better deals for products online versus in-store.
More retailers are using social networking and media to attract their consumers.

6. Survey Results More than 80% of the shoppers shop online
Amazon is the top website of choice
Clothing, gifts and electronics are the top three items mostly purchased
Convenience, low price deals and less time consuming top reason to shop online.
Shipping charges and crashing of site are the top two issues of online shopping.

7. Analysis of Results
Retailers are opening more businesses online as it has expanded worldwide and consumers can order anything at just the click of the button. Online retailers have created online couponing and discounts to draw consumer in and increase their sales. Consumers are choosing online shopping not only for convenience but they are getting a better deal and they find more products easily than in-store.
