- Add course ID to slide 5 - If students are buying access, add the package ISBN to slide 5 be clear on your preferred option (i.e. online purchase or alongside a book in a bookshop). - If you are using Mastering via a VLE integrated link, remove slides 3 – 13 as student registration is automatic. In this case it may be easier to do an online demonstration rather than use these slides. -If you are using Modified Mastering, please contact your Pearson representative for student instructions. -Amend slide 21 to include the language and contact options available in your region. 4 1. What you need

5 To register you need: Email: The email you use for university.

6 2. How to register

7 STEP 1: Go to www.MasteringChemistry.com
Under the large Register Now section on the right side of the page, click the Student Mastering: An introduction 7

8 STEP 2: Read through the onscreen instructions and select your location. Mastering: An introduction 8

9 STEP 3: Type in your Course ID and press Go. (See slide 5 for your Course ID). Mastering: An introduction 9

10 STEP 4: Check the box for whether or not you have an Access Code.
If you don’t have one, you can purchase access online. You will need the correct textbook title, author, and edition. Check with your lecturer to get this information or your course syllabus. Mastering: An introduction 10

11 STEP 5: Read & accept the License Agreement. After this, either Create a new Pearson username/password, or, if you’ve already registered for another Pearson product, enter that username/password. If you have an Access Code, enter it on the bottom of the page. Mastering: An introduction 11

12 STEP 6: Fill out the appropriate information fields, then click Next. If you entered an Access Code, you will be brought to a page from which you can access your product. If not, enter your payment information so that you can Purchase Access, after which you’ll be granted access. Mastering: An introduction 12

13 STEP 7: You’re now registered! Click Log In Now. If prompted, enter your Student ID. That’s it! Mastering: An introduction 13
