Description of Core Unit:
Generate staged mouse and Xenopus embryo RNA samples.
Generate paraffin and OCT embedded tissues and embryos.
Share expertise in and perform some whole mount and section in situ hybridizations.
Perform IHC and histology on tissue and embryo sections.

2. Core D Progress Report I
Successful use of RT-PCR to verify embryonic expression of Xenopus Mo2L mRNA (Tiziana De Angelis).
Next: in situ hybridizations (ISH; mouse and Xenopus; Projects 4 & 5, Ning Dai and Tiziana De Angelis) including Mo2L and mouse Ehmt1 (Project 4).
Control probes for mouse in situs obtained from Tom Lufkin.
Successful sub-cloning of Xenopus LKB1/XEEK1 in KmRN3P.
