2 All About Me Grew up in Wayzata and graduated from WHS in 1983 (my father graduated from WHS in 1954!) Attended UCSB for college and graduate school M.A. from St. Thomas 1996 Plymouth Creek, my second home for the last 23 years (taught in California ) 2 kids: Hays who’s 19 & graduated in 2015 from WHS & Zoe, 11th W-ALT Breast cancer survivor from 2007 (almost 10 yrs!) Love teaching 4th graders/9 and 10 yr. olds

3 Homework Assignment Notebook – parents please sign daily Daily:
-Reading (minimum of 20 min. per day) & fill out monthly reading log of minutes read Weekly: -Home Connections in math every other day -Spelling Contracts (starting 3rd week of September)

4 Mathematics Bridges math curriculum, new this year
Home Connections every other day Xtra math for flashcard practice (Bridges parent support) No IXL this year

5 Spelling Pre-test on Monday and final test on Friday

10 Class information Healthy snack in afternoon (no nuts!)
Water bottle with no-spill top Classroom updates via Scholastic Book orders online (HDLRC) Birthdays-no food treats or prizes Featured Student each week

11 Field Trips A Night in New Orleans play: Oct. Stages Theater in Hopkins Valentine’s Day/Feb. 14th: Ice PIC Bakken Museum: Tues., Feb. 28th Lowry Nature Center: May 9th & 12th End of the year Picnic at French Park-last week of school in June (6th-9th)
