1 SUNDAY 7th May 2017 GOOD NEWS FROM CAYP Chapel Allerton Youth Project is delighted to announce that our application to the Methodist Church's 'One Programme' has been successful. This means that we should have a young person working part time in CAYP for the year starting September Interviews will be held in the first half of May. Recruitment is organised centrally so if you know of a young person (aged 16-23) who might be interested in applying to 'take a year on' as a One Programme Participant, please ask them to look at the One Programme part of the Methodist Church website. Thanks, Hannah Monthly Gathering for May It would be great to see you at our monthly evening Gathering.  It's an opportunity to meet in an informal and relaxed space for prayer and worship, and listening to God.  Please come along and join us this month at Johanna Hooson's house on Friday 12th May at 8pm at 3 Gledhow Park Road, LS7 4JX. for more info contact Clare on Orla’s Funeral Luke and Gemma are happy for anyone to attend the service at Moortown who would like to come. There will be a private family ceremony at Rawdon Crematorium at 11:40am on Friday 12th May, followed by a Celebration of Life Service, open to everyone, at 12:30pm on Friday 12th May at Moortown Baptist Church, 204 King Lane, Leeds LS17 6AA.  The dress code will be smart casual and you can wear any colour you like.  Donations to Martin House Children's Hospice and/orLeeds Mencap, in lieu of flowers. There will be a donation basket in church or feel free to send any donations direct to Luke and Gemma. Thank you for your ongoing love, prayers and support. Welcome to Chapel A THIS COMING WEEK Tuesdays at 11am in the church office - a short prayer meeting with the staff and whoever would like to pray for Chapel A. Housegroups generally meet on Monday, Tuesday and alternate Thursday evenings. Please see notice board in corridor. Tuesdays - Totally Tuesday for Years 5-7, pm in Chapel All. Methodist Hall. Wednesday – WOW youth group for Years 8+ in Chapel Allerton Methodist Hall. Please contact Hannah Dey on or about any of our usual groups for young people. Adventurers – Leaders needed Adventurers are looking for a leader to join our creative, playful group. All of our current leaders also help with Messy Church on the 3rd Sunday of the month, so we are hoping to find someone to lead Adventurers on the 3rd Sunday Morning of the month. I thought it would be fun to try and organise a cricket match this summer, hopefully against another church. Lots of details still to be clarified - venue, equipment, date etc but for now I'm just trying to see if we can get enough players! So if you're interested in a fun, friendly, but fiercely competitive cricket match please get in touch with James Dey and Send newsletter notices and news to or phone the church office on Thursday is the cut-off for any notices for that Sunday’s news-sheet.
