Youth is a time when a person is trying to find his place in the world. He or she comes across different problems. Teenagers prefer to make their own mistakes rather than to listen to the warnings of the adults. Young people want to live their own life and overcome their own difficulties themselves. Thus every generation is unique.

3 Teenagers are: Positive: Active Frank Persistent Creative Friendly

Teenagers have changed in comparison with the teens in the past. They are a “technology” generation. For teens in todays’ world mobile phones, internet, music, movies, television and video games are very important. Most teenagers prefer watching TV and playing computer games to reading books.

5 Teenagers have a particular relationship with the world
Teenagers have a particular relationship with the world. They always try to express their individuality. To express it they try to show off; experiment with their appearances; show a rebellion against the parents, the regime, society; reject everything; join the group or the organization.

6 One of the most popular way of expressing the individuality is to join the group or the organization. Teenagers join the group because they want: To achieve something To change the world for the best To try out all sorts of options To be in a collective

7 Young people want to enjoy life and be independent and be taken seriously, to express their individuality and do well at school, earn money and change the world for the best. The problem is that sometimes teens do not get what they want. As a result, teenagers try to rebel against the society and reject everything. That is why they have different problems. The reasons of these problems are rather various.

8 The reasons of the problems are:
Ambitions The changes of our society Lack of good life Violence Misunderstandings And many others

9 Young people of today don't accept the standards of their parents
Young people of today don't accept the standards of their parents. They cannot accept the values of their "fathers". It is one of the causes of the generation gap. The adults usually apply old standards to the new way of life. The majority of the young people don't want to live in the past. They have their own ideals. They want to make their own mistakes. Almost all parents don't understand their children.

10 The next important problem concerns friendship
The next important problem concerns friendship. A person can and should have many friends. But at the same time there can be only one or two true friends. However, the young people always face the problem of getting on with people, especially, their class-mates. The problem of love is a key problem as well. There are a lot of different problems, which teenagers have to face.

11 By all means, a lot of the problems can be solved.
If a teenager has any problem he can: Cope with it himself; Ask his parents or friends; Ask adults; Ask school; Ask the Government or special organizations.

12 To cope with problems Teenagers should Be given more rights;
Have an opportunity to talk about their problems; Be free to decide sometimes; Should know they are cared for. Adults should Be interested in teen’s life; Care about young people; Help to overcome difficulties.

13 Sometimes teenagers can not cope with the difficulties and they:
Get upset and depressed; Run away from the home; Can be sent to prison; Become drug or alcohol addicted; Can commit suicide.

14 But are there only problems in teen’s life?
Teenagers are young and full of energy; They have lots of friends; They may express their individuality. Teenagers can choose any route they want; They are too young to see only bad sides of life.

15 Thank you for watching
