3. A Day / B Day Block Schedule
You will have two academic classes, two elective classes, a lunch, and a Design Time every day. You will meet with A day classes every other day. Your schedule may look like this:
A DAY (Monday, Wednesday, Friday)

1A: Advanced Math
1B: Advanced English
2A: PE
2B: PE
3A: Lunch and Design Time
3B: Lunch and Design Time
4A: Art 6
4B: Art 6
5A: Advanced Science
5B: Social Studies
SAMPLE
Each core class is 1 hour and 45 minutes. You have 30 minutes to eat lunch each day and 30 minutes to organize, study, and complete homework in Design Time.
Always follow your planner. If you need assistance, ask any adult or peer.

4. Design time Before or after lunch, be prepared to go to Design Time
During this time, you will have an opportunity to:
Complete assignments;
Organize your materials;
Get help from your teachers;
Go to the library;
See your guidance counselors;
Collaborate with your peers on team; projects.

5. Buses and Transport
Your bus should be parked in the same spot every day; look both ways before crossing the parking lot to your bus.
Bus changes do happen—listen to the announcements and ask an adult at the bus loop for any buses changes
When you get off the bus in the morning, you will enter school through the breezeway doors near the gym.
If you walk to school, look for and listen to the crossing guard before walking across the street.
If your parents drop you off in the morning, head directly to the cafeteria homework center (cafeteria).

7. Lockers and Hallways Hallways
Students are expected to walk quietly in the hallways.
Please make sure that you are walking with your right shoulder against the wall (right side of hallway).

You will be assigned a locker and a 3 number combination. To use the combination, you will…
Turn the dial to the right until you reach the first number
Turn the dial left past the first number in your combination until you reach the second number
Turn the dial right to the third number.
Lift the latch to open!
ASK AN ADULT FOR HELP IF IT IS NOT WORKING!!!

8. Cafeteria
When entering the cafeteria, sit on your assigned side of the cafeteria.
Wait for your table to be called up to the lunch line if your are buying your lunch.
Raise your hand if you need utensils or to use the restroom.
Wait for your table to be called on to throw away your trash and return your trays.
Return to your table and wait until your classroom is dismissed by teacher’s name.

9. Book bags and supplies
Book bags MUST BE stored in your locker at the beginning of the school day.
Locker breaks occur
after your first block class ends
during Design Time
at the end of the day
Your teachers will provide you with a list of supplies you will need to bring with you daily.
All students will be receiving Chromebook (laptops) this year to use at school and at home.

10. Technology
Every student will be issued a Chromebook (laptop) this year
You will receive:
Chromebook
Charger
Carrying Case
Everyday, you are expected to keep your Chromebook:
Charged;
With you in its carrying case;
Safe and away from food, drink, etc.
Many teachers are using the Chromebook to give you your:
Online textbooks
Activities
Quizzes and tests
