Animal Facts Description The hyena is usually red umber and light brown and red umber colored spots. An average females length is 34in (86cm) and leaving males smaller. Female hyenas weigh about 150 pounds(70kg) and again males weigh less. The hyenas special features are that they have one of the strongest bites in the animal kingdom with strong jaws lined with teeth. Diet The hyena is an omnivore with its diet having meat, fruit and vegetables. 3 Habitat The hyena lives in East Africa top and bottom pointing West.

4 Life Cycle The hyena gives live birth with 2-4 cubs at a time, it takes 3 to 4 months to be born. After a few months the mother leaves. The father having nothing to do with the cubs.
