1 Anti Bullying Charter

2 STOP Bullying is when someone hurts you Several Times On Purpose.
Bullying can be done by the words that are used or by hurting someone with your hands.

3 We all want a school where:
everyone is happy and friendly where people respect each other we look after each other people listen to each other people help each other everyone is treated with consideration and respect there isn’t any bullying.

4 Our parents and careers want a school where:
Children are happy Children want to come to school Difference is celebrated Children feel safe there isn’t any bullying.

5 If you think you are being bullied you can:
Tell them to stop. Talk your teacher or an adult in school. Ask for help. Talk to Mrs Wood Tell your parents Tell a friend Tell a school councillor Visit

6 If You see someone else being bullied you can:
Talk to the bully and tell them to stop. Maybe the bully is upset and needs a friend too. Talk your teacher or an adult in school Talk to Mrs Wood Tell your parents Tell a friend Visit

7 If you think you are being bullied, your teachers will always:
Listen to you Ask you to explain exactly what has happened and how often it has happened. Write down what you have said. Monitor (watch) to see what is happening. Ask you what you think will help and agree what they will do about it. Talk to the bully and make it clear that the behaviour must change and make the consequences clear if this doesn’t happen. Tell Mrs Foster or Mr Ireland.

8 Strategies that we might use to help.
There will be a worry box in the Library for you to write down your worries. You might be given a diary that your teacher will check. You can write down everything that happens so we can see how big the problem is. We might set up a friendship group to help you get on and solve problems. A daily check from a member of staff.

9 If you are bullying someone:
Mrs Foster will be told what you are doing. Your teachers will monitor (watch) your behaviour to make sure that you stop. You will be given a chance to talk about why you are bullying and ask for help. Your behaviour will be recorded as red in nurture groups. Your parents will be told what you have been doing. You will be put on structured play. The incident will be recorded and added to your school record. In serious you could be excluded.
