Smart Track Overview and Registration Guide This presentation will provide you with a brief overview of SUNY’s online financial literacy program, Financial Avenue. This program is part of the Smart Track initiative to help you become financially empowered.

This knowledgeable owl is your guide to exploring important money management concepts like budgeting, saving, paying for college, and preparing for the future. Think of Knowl as a wise older sibling who’s here to help.

3 YOUR COURSES Psychology of Money Foundations of Money
College and Money FAFSA Loan Guidance Earning Money Credit & Protecting Your Money Spending and Borrowing Debt and Repayment Future of Your Money You will have access to ten different courses, with topics ranging from your personal relationship with money, to the FAFSA, to repaying debt, and much more. The courses are designed to stand-alone, meaning they don’t have to be taken in order and you can work on multiple courses at a time. [INDICATE IF YOUR INSTITUTION HAS SPECIFIC COURSE REQUIREMENTS]

Customized Action Plan Adaptive Pathing Instructional Design Methodology Embeddable Videos Financial Avenue utilizes the following features to ensure that you have an enjoyable learning experience: ADA accessible – our program is compatible with screen readers, and all audio components are closed-captioned We offer two courses available in Spanish: Foundations of Money and FAFSA Our program is mobile-ready, meaning it can be accssed on tablets, smartphones, smart watches, or the device of your choice Customized action plans at the end of each course help you turn what you just learned into action. They offer a number of suggestions to help you take immediate steps to get on track to a healthy financial future. Adaptive pathing is a fancy way of saying there will be sections of the courses that allow you to tell us what is important to you and where you’re at in life, so we can tailor the information you receive. All of our courses use an instructional design methodology that has been proven to increase understanding and promote learning. We want you to know that everything in this course, from the design to the words to the videos, have all been carefully created to meet the highest standards of curriculum development. All of the videos within the courses have embeddable links for sharing with others – just ask your program administrator for details.
