1 Product Specifications

2 Headway17 Advanced Key Notes
New Tapered PTFE liner incorporated (only from MV) - For more reliable inner lumen integrity - Combined superior shapeability and proximal push/pull linearity Paint brushing distal tip with 1.7F rounded end - Combination of atraumaticity and stabilized coiling - Head knocking distal tip to allow coils to be deployed evenly - Preventing the distal tip from being caught by aneurysm edge - Going through stent struts smoothly Barium sulfate - Providing “slight” radiopacity in distal 15cm Pre-shaped tips available - Straight, 45 degree, and 90 degree (J shape is coming later) New New 1st segment is softer than 2nd. They seek space. New

3 Pre-Shaped Tips Specification
Longer than Echelon, shorter than SL10 for each shape (90º) (45º) 4.5mm 5.5 mm Pre-Shaped 45º Pre-Shaped 90º 4mm Slightly longer than Echelon-into the aneurysm Slightly shorter than SL-10-better support More than 90’ 165º Coming later Pre-Shaped J

4 Proprietary Unique Construction
Combination of atraumaticity and stabilized coiling 1 2 3 4 2nd Seg to provide good support Softer 2nd segment - Softer 1st Seg to paint brush

5 Distal Round Tip With 1.7F New

6 Distal Tip Softness Test
Test method 2mm/s For distal 30mm stiffness Fixed span 30mm 30

7 Distal Tip Softness Test

8 Headway17 Advanced Construction
Thermo-plastic Layer 1.7F at the distal tip, 1.9F in the distal segment , 2.4F at proximal shaft Configurating the outmost catheter layer and substrate of the hydrophilic polymer Providing steam-shapeability 2.4F 1.9F 1.7F Inner lumen: 0.017” Coil Reinforcement PTFE Liner Push pull controll- no stretching. Coil construction throughout the catheter shaft Located between outer layer and inner liner Providing kink resistance Tapered design (thinner wall in the distal, thicker in the proximal) Facilitating smooth insertion of devices into the inner lumen Preventing the catheter from stretching (for better push/pull control)

9 Thermoplastic Elastomer for Shapeability
SL-10 Echelon10 Headway17 Prowler14 The same shaping mandrel was used to shape the catheters Steam shaped in 30 sec and soaked into saline at room temperature Headway17 keeps almost same shape as the shape of the mandrel. No difference in shaping between Regular and Extra support.

10 Lubricity Test Test method
Microcatheter pulled up 37℃ water The microcatheter is sandwiched by the measuring tool The microcatheter is sandwiched by the measuring tool in the water at 37 degrees of Celsius. The microcatheter is pulled only upward and measuring tool releases the microcatheter at certain point. Then the microcatheter moves back to the same starting point. This cycle is repeated in 100 times, recording friction between the surface of the microcatheter and the tool.

11 Lubricity Test Test result
Test stopped. Force higher than load cell capacity.

12 Short & Low Profile of the Distal Tip
Headway17 SL10 Echelon10 Prowler LP-ES Echelon14 Excel14 ×200 The short and low profile of the distal tip with special manufacturing process For better access through stent struts For more atraumaticity (for both ruptured, non-ruptured aneurysm) To reduce the gap between a guidewire and the distal tip
