To create an energizing space in Pierce County for people of faith and goodwill to share knowledge and act on strategies to end homelessness.

Remain updated about what homelessness looks like in Pierce County.
Learn about the homeless system and other services offered in the community.
Provide opportunities to become directly involved (projects, volunteering, advocating, etc.).

7. Successes from our last Community Quarterly Meeting:
One church that currently supports the Family Housing Network may expand the shelter stay limit by SEVEN nights.
Alan Brown, Director of the Family Housing Network, will begin conversations with a new congregation to possibly house families for one or two weeks.
An intern position was created to develop a “needs bank” for volunteer.
Results: Households experiencing homelessness will be sheltered for 21 additional nights! A system will be developed to easily meet volunteer’s needs!

Host a youth experiencing homelessness.
Gather hygiene products.
Gift cards for food.
Bus passes or ORCA cards.
Invite Shared Housing to present at your place of worship.
