3. So What Exactly IS the Famine?
The 30 Hour Famine is designed to give normal- everyday students a different viewpoint on what it means to go hungry.
Students are asked to raise awareness of worldwide childhood hunger by raising money and gaining sponsors to sponsor them as they go without food for 30 hours.
During this time, students participate in community service to see how it feels to work on an empty stomach, as many children do around the world.
