5 Rules All students are expected to follow the classroom rules when in the classroom. All students are expected to follow the school rules when in any part of the school. Both sets of rules work together to create an atmosphere where students can learn.

6 Classroom Rules

7 School Rules Be in the proper place at the proper time
Treat people and materials with kindness and respect. Keep hands, feet, and objects to self. Follow directions the first time

8 Birthdays We will celebrate children’s birthdays in
our class. On this day your child may share a treat with the children in the class. If your child’s birthday falls in the summer and you would like us to celebrate their birthday in class let me know and we can pick an unbirthday date for celebrating their birthday. Do not send birthday invitations to school to be passed out. Children feel left out when they do not get invited and we have hurt feelings in the class. Find another time or way to pass out invitations.

9 Spotlighting Children “Apple of My Eye”
I will be sending a note and poster home the Friday before your child is to be spotlighted. The children like to hear about each other and to see the changes that they have made in their life. Each child will be honored for at least one week. Your child will be able to bring back the poster when they are spotlighted to share with the class. The poster will guide you on what to share. You can add pictures with captions to help us learn more about your child.

10 Flopsie Mustang You child will get many chances to take Flopsie Mustang home You child will write about what she did with Flopsie in Flopsie’s journal You child will then share with the class what they did with Flopsie.
