1. Step 1 - Installing TStatSpec Download the TStatSpec software from customer.honeywell.com.  The files will need to be extracted in a new folder.  

2. Right click the Setup Application and select "Troubleshoot compatibility"

3. A new window will pop up, click "Troubleshoot program"

4. Check "The program worked in earlier versions of Windows but won't install or run now" then click Next

5. Select "Windows XP (Service Pack 3)" then click Next

6. Click "Test the program..."

7. If User Account Control comes up, allow the program to run
If User Account Control comes up, allow the program to run.  At this point, follow the prompts to install TStatSpec and the PL-2303 driver, it may take some time for this to run completely.  Give the installer time to run completely.  If and error comes up, click OK to close it.  

8. When the Installer is complete click Finish, your computer will restart.  

9. After your computer restarts there will be a shortcut to TStatSpec on the desktop.  Right click the icon and select Properties.  

10. Click the Compatibility tab, then check "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and select " Windows XP (Service Pack 3)" from the drop down menu and click OK.  

11. Step 2 - Installing the correct USB-TIM driver Download and run the USB-TIM Driver Installation found on customer.honeywell.com

12. After the driver is installed connect the USB-TIM cable to a USB port
After the driver is installed connect the USB-TIM cable to a USB port.  Click the Windows icon in the corner of your screen and type "Device Manager" then click to open Device Manager.  

13. Click to expand the "Ports (COM & LPT)" then right click "Prolific USB-to-Serial Comm Port" and click Properties

14. Click the Driver tab, if the driver version is 3. 4. 25
Click the Driver tab, if the driver version is the correct driver is installed, click OK and proceed to Step 3.  If any other driver version is listed, click "Update Driver..."

15. Click "Browse my computer for driver software"

16. Click "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer"

17. Select "Prolific USB-to_Serial Comm Port Version: 3. 4. 25
Select "Prolific USB-to_Serial Comm Port Version: " then click Next

18. Windows will install the new drive, when this is complete click Close

19. You will now see the driver version is 3. 4. 25
You will now see the driver version is , click close, then close the device manager

20. Step 3 - Running TStatSpec Right click the TStatSpec icon on the desktop, then click "Run as Administrator."  If User Account Control pops up, allow the program to run.
