1 Dobroyd Robinwood Residential Trip 2018

3 How do we get there? We go by train as it helps keep the cost down.
Meet at Low Moor train station at 9:00am. Train leaves at approximately 9.35am. Arrive at Todmorden at approximately 10.10am. ¼ mile walk up to the castle. (Bags are taken in a van by Robinwood staff) We arrive!

4 Food The food is fantastic!
On the first day the children will receive a menu and choose what they will have to eat for the rest of their visit. Any food allergies/dietary requirements are catered for – please put these on the information form sent out in January/February. Snacks (apples/bananas/biscuits) are available in between activities. The children are given a water bottle that they use during the day. Tuck Shop – The children are able to bring a maximum of £2 to spend at the tuck shop (stationary, pop, sweets, crisps are available) No other food is allowed to be brought.

5 Sleeping Boys and girls are in separate rooms.
Each room can sleep 4 – 8 children in bunk beds. All children get to choose who they share their dormitories with. Bathrooms are opposite or next to their rooms. 24 hour supervision. Silent alarms on the bedroom doors that alert night staff of movement. Alarm button in each room should the children need assistance. Teachers stay in rooms near by. Bunk beds, all bedding is supplied.

9 Clothing You will get a kit list in January
Old clothes – they will get mucky! No jeans or denim Shorts to be long shorts Robinwood wash and dry clothes each day. Trainers no sandals

10 Technology and communication
We don’t allow phones, tablets, computer games or anything electrical. No communication home as we believe this unsettles the children. School can be contacted if you need to contact us in an emergency. If there is a problem at Robinwood I will contact you directly.

11 Medication If your child has any medication that they need to take then this can be given to their group leader. This goes for travel sickness tablets too. Any concerns then please see me. Payment Payment will be set up on School Money so you can pay as and when you can. We are asking for a £30 deposit with the reply slip in order to secure your child’s place. If you have any problems with payments please do not hesitate to come and see myself or Miss Webster. The full price of the trip is £180 which includes travel.
