1 Infant Support Evening

2 Builds good relationships with adults and peers, including taking turns and sharing.

Manages own basic hygiene, including dressing and going to the toilet independently. Knows the importance of exercise and a healthy diet. Shows good coordination in large and small movements. 3 Year 1 Expectations Reading at home a minimum of four times per week.
20 minutes of homework task each week. Organising belongings at the beginning of each day – taking reading book and diary out of book bag in the morning and putting completed homework in the homework folder. Adult reading with the child to comment or sign the diary. Asking an adult for help or telling them if there is something wrong. Year 1 Expectations

Reading four times a week and talking about the text. Sign in the diary. 20 minutes on a homework task a week. Practise spellings at home. 5 EYFS Communication & Language Literacy
Speaking - Children express themselves effectively, use tenses accurately, develop their own narratives and explanations. Listening and attention - Children listen attentively in a range of situations, respond to stories, making comments or asking questions. Understanding – Children follow instructions involving several ideas or actions. They answer ‘how’ and ‘why’ questions about their experiences and in response to stories or events. Phonics – Phonics is taught daily using Jolly Phonics songs and actions. Children learn single letter sounds, followed by simple digraphs. Reading - Children read and understand simple sentences. Use phonetic knowledge to decode regular words, as well as reading common irregular words. Writing – Children use their phonic knowledge to write words in ways, which match their spoken sounds. They also write some irregular common words. They write simple sentences, which can be read by themselves and others. Help from home – Read at least 4 times a week and sign the diary. Share library books. Read and practise writing sounds and keywords each week. Support with homework tasks. EYFS Communication & Language Literacy

8 EYFS Number Shape, Space & Measures
Children count reliably with numbers from one to 20 and place them in order. Say which number is one more or one less than a given number. Using quantities and objects, add and subtract two single- digit numbers and count on or back to find the answer. Solve problems, including doubling, halving and sharing. Children use everyday language to talk about size, weight, capacity, position, distance, time and money to compare quantities and objects and to solve problems. They recognise, create and describe patterns. They explore characteristics of everyday objects and shapes and use mathematical language to describe them. - multiples of 10 (5 tens – that’s 50) - place value Addition of two digit numbers Subtraction of two digit numbers Multiplication & division facts for the 2, 3, 5 & 10 times tables Recognise, find, name and write 1/3, ¼, 2/4, ¾ of a length, shape of quantity. Naming and describing properties of 2D & 3D shapes including vertices, faces, edges Year 2 Maths
