Old Cambwell Grammarians Football Club.

3 Background Female participation has been growing rapidly throughout the years. In 2015, more than 280,000 females participated in Australian Football through introductory programs and competitions. This is a growth of 162% in the last 6 years.

5 Our Mission To provide a welcoming community that celebrates the social and sporting development of young people through amateur football. Our mission is firmly focussed on improving facilities, creating opportunities, building character and respect for one another

7 About Old Camberwell The ‘Wellers have proud playing history in the Victorian Amateur Football Association since the club was formed in 1960. We are a local, community based club and welcome players of all backgrounds and abilities. We have Seniors, Reserves and Under 19’s sides already planned in 2017.

8 About Old Camberwell The club fosters a family friendly environment that ensure competitive, safe football on the field and a great social environment off the field We are current planning our strategy for 2017 and beyond and would invite anyone interested to be involved

9 Procedures, policies and forms
The VAFA will be utilising the following: – VWFL Rules and Regulations - note rule 8.6 Evening up rule in the Development League – VWFL Team Managers Handbook – AFL Laws of the game – VAFA Policies and Procedures The following are available via the below link: – 2016 Laws of Australian Football – VWFL Rules and Regulations – VAFA Policies and Procedures -

10 To be eligible to play For a player to be eligible to play in this competition she must be at least 16 years old as at 1st January in the year of the competition

11 What are the commitments?
Sunday (possibly Saturday) game availability Season dates are to be confirmed (Apr – September) Training 2 days a week – Tuesday and 6.00pm

12 Where will we playing? Home Games Away Games
To be confirmed – based on teams in the division

13 Equipment etc. Footballs Size 4.5 - provided by the club and the VAFA
Football boots – provided by self Mouthguard – provided by self Football Jumper – provided by the club Shorts and socks – provided by club Polo, jackets etc – available through the club

15 Facilities - Tour

16 Match day The majority of VWFL matches are played on a Sunday afternoon ranging from mid-day to 3:00pm. It is anticipated that this will be the most likely time to play matches in 2017, however if the demand requires a Saturday competition, the VAFA will consider.

17 Match day personnel and support
We are committed to providing full support on Match days and will be working to have in place the following roles: Women’s Football Manager Women’s Coach Coaching Assistance Team Manager Medical (Trainers) Timekeeper Field, Boundary and Goal Umpires Committee Member
