2 ATO approach to electronic service delivery 2 We are committed to using whole of government approaches such as myGov, and Standard Business Reporting. We are investing in a dedicated and comprehensive program of work that will deliver contemporary digital services to the community. 5 How we’ll deliver services 5 As we increase our digital offering, we will develop new services so they can be made available as either RETAIL or WHOLESALE. RETAIL = ATO END USER WHOLESALE = ATO THIRD PARTY END USER We will offer retail services when it is deemed appropriate and necessary to do so, or when there is no commercial market demand for a wholesale option. 8 Delivering the future experience: retail CLASSIFICATION – Title of presentation 8 ›The latest release included a Business Performance Check tool and a myDeductions tool. ›A release currently scheduled for late September will enable users to create their voiceprint via the app use this to authenticate to access our online services for individuals via the app (or the next time they call our contact centres). 10 10 Delivering the future experience: retail ATO online services – Tax Time 2015 release ›In July, the ATO released a new suite of functionality via ATO online service for individuals and sole traders, including: ‒ a personalised homepage. ‒ the ability to view accounts (balances and detailed transactions) and upcoming due dates across income tax, activity statement and loan accounts. ‒ enhancements to payment functionality generally and payment plan functionality for income tax And...they can do it from a: PC smart phone Available on Apple, Windows and Android tablet smart TV UNCLASSIFIED – Future of the ATO’s digital services

11 Delivering the future experience: retail 11 ›Real-time, online conversation with an ATO customer service officer who can provide guidance and general information on particular topics. ›Currently for small business taxpayers on the Small Business Assist page. ›Plans underway to expand web chat to answer more enquiry types, and also to make it available in in the ATO’s authenticated environment through ATO online services.
