Don’t judge a plant by its look. Norman and Michael judged their plants by the way they looked, but then thought they were really cool. I have told my mom that her plant was ugly but when the flower bloomed it was pretty. Organization is better than a complete and total mess. Organization is better than a complete and total mess. Theme

Character Traits Michael Messy Norman Neat Smart Nice annoying

Character Goals The goals of these characters are to find out where all of there socks are. Get their mom to let them keep their plants. Try to get a friend to sleep over without finding out about their plants.

PLOT The important parts of the book are: When their socks go missing. When they find out that the plants are eating their socks. When Jason found out about their plants eating socks. When they are interviewed on t.v. When the plants go rolling down the neighborhood.

SETTING This story takes place in the house of Michael and Norman. The story mostly took place in the bedroom which they shared; in spite of, their personality differences.

NORMAN What person from this book would you most want to have at your house. Write a paragraph explaining why. If I had to pick someone out of this book to come to my house, here is who I would choose. I would choose to invite Norman to my house. Norman is a neat freak who keeps everything clean; therefore, I would not have to worry about picking up any extra messes. I would also want him at my house because he would help me clean my room and he would most likely respect my stuff.

Write a new title for your book. Explain why you chose this title and why it would be better than the original I would call my book The Messy Room. I think that this would be better than the original because, it would be more of a mystery for the readers. The original title gives away what the first few chapters are mainly about.

Genre’s What genre is your novel. Explain in paragraph form why it should fall in this category. My novel is a fantasy; because, it could not happen in real life. The boys have a plant that eats socks and that could never happen. There is no such thing as sock- eating plants; therefore, this book is a fantasy.
