We would like to update you on the National Council meeting Ben was involved with on Feb. 27-28. This past year Ben was tasked along with others to assist in the transitioning of council national leadership to the local Chinese. This transitioning process, as expected, had its ups and downs. One of the ups is that the Council worked together in planning the All East Asia Conference in August. The Council members were spread out all over the country, so most of the planning was done through email. It was challenging, yet the Lord really blessed the conference. Miraculously, the conference came together and the attendees were deeply encouraged throughout the conference. One of the downs was the bonding of the Council members. Since the members come from different cities across the country, it took time for them to get to know each other and to build working relationship. So we are lifting this up in prayers and will work toward getting the members to trust each other. Please keep us in your prayers, especially for the following areas: 1. Our heavenly Father be our sole love and passion 2. Planning of Campus Forum during the first weekend of May. Pray for greater unity and momentum to mobilize laborers for collegial work 3. Strengthen the bonding of members after the National Council meeting that we become a close-knit community laboring side by side for the advancement of gospel 4.
