10 Eagle Patrol Program Student employees of the University Police Equipped and trained by the department Serve as eyes and ears of University Police Available for walking escorts anywhere on-campus Safety Escorts Requests for walking escorts are taken 24-hours a day by the University Police.

11 Parking Services –Parking regulations are enforced 24 hours a day, including weekends and holidays. –Parking information is available at the Welcome Center located on the south entrance of Eastern Ave., the Information Kiosk at the west entrance of the Administration building or in the Public Safety Building –Please follow and obey all posted signs and/or curb markings. You are responsible for knowing University parking rules and regulations.

15 Parking & Transportation Center Buy a semester permit, pick up transit schedules and Metro bus applications. Load your Metro and Foothill TAP card. Metrolink tickets are sold at the TVM at a 25% discount. 16 Bike Registry Program Free service Bring your bicycle and an ID to the front lobby of Public Safety. Registration sticker is affixed to the frame of the bicycle containing an identification number. The bicycle’s make/model and serial number is noted on the registration form. Information is entered by the dispatcher and given an ARMS number. In the event that the bicycle is lost or stolen and then recovered, the bicycle will be returned to the owner.

17 Emergency Preparedness Public Safety provides Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training during the summer Approximately 600 campus personnel and students have received CERT training since the start of this program Evacuation drills are conducted three times a year A mobile and fixed Emergency Operations Center with storage

19 CAL STATE L.A. EAGLE ALERT NOTIFICATION PROGRAM In an emergency, get the message! Cal State L.A. wants to protect its biggest asset: YOU. Eagle Alert will contact all students, faculty and staff during emergencies affecting the university using the following information delivery methods:  Messages to Cal State L.A. email addresses  Text messages to mobile phones Messages will be sent when emergency situations arise, such as fires, earthquakes, and acts of violence or situations posing an imminent threat to life, health or the safety of our campus community. An Eagle Alert will only be sent after carefully assessing a situation and determining that it is serious enough to warrant a notification, or to periodically conduct system tests. 20 Lost & Found The Department of Public Safety maintains the University Lost & Found If you have lost an item, please go to the Department of Public Safety Building and fill out a Lost Property form —or go online to: http://csulalf.com/SelectItemType.aspx If your property is turned in and you have filled out a Lost Property form, you will be contacted to pick up your property ** You will be contacted only if your property has been located ** If you have found an item, please bring it to the Public Safety Building or call University Police at (323) 343-3700 Lost & Found is open: Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Closed Saturday & Sunday Lost & Found Sale are once a Semester, from 9 AM – 12 PM, in front of the P.E. Bldg.
