3 Structure of the novel → Consists of 18 chapters the episode of Homer's “Odyssey” praises the hero → Is divided into 3 parts: 1) Telemachia (chapters 1-3) 2) Odyssey (chapters 4-15) 3) Nostos (chapters 16-18) → Plot: events of one day in Dublin (June 16, 1904) and movements of the main characters of the novel → Description of the characters: Leopold Bloom Ulysses a Jewish adversting agent a common and sensual man Stephen Dedalus Telemachus a young man with literary ambitions in search for spiritual values Molly Bloom Penelope Leopold's unfaithful wife represents the summary of all women in the novel

5 What is the mythical method? → T.S.
