I have had a blast getting to know your children every day and I look forward to the rest of this year. We’ve had lots of laughs, good Jesus talks and learning going on in here, and it’s only going to get better! I also want to give a shout out to all of the parents of second grade—y’all have been so generous and welcoming and I greatly appreciate that. Thank you so much. I’ve had a lot of donations come in too, and because of the craziness, I’m not sure what came from what parent. So THANK YOU to everyone who has been so kind to me and the class so far this year! We are also excited to welcome our new student, Sophia Chapman! Her mom’s name is Christy, so make sure to reach out to them if you haven’t already and show them some 2nd grade love! Have a BEE- autiful weekend! Love in Christ, Mrs. B Additional Information -The first “homework packet” is coming home today. There will be more homework assignments in the upcoming weeks, but I want to make sure the kids have fun and enjoy their first weekend of school! Each Thursday you will receive a packet of information as well as homework in your child’s weekly folder. -Triathlon Training starts August 26th. Make sure to fill out the consent form and return to school so your child can join in the fun! -Bake Sale begins tomorrow. Bake Sale is a fundraising effort by our middle school students and the proceeds help fund their spring trip. Most items are $.50-$1.00 and range anywhere from sweet treats to healthier options like popcorn, carrots and fruit. Send money with your child if you’d like them to participate!

2 Reminders: -Please send your child’s folder to school every day with the behavior chart signed. They usually won’t need them on Fridays so if it’s forgotten, no worries!Homework checklist should be signed as well and turned in the following week. Items to put in folder: notes for Mrs. B, permission slips, money due, library books that need to be returned to the library or Mrs. B’s library, and of course homework. -If your child has a book out from Mrs. B, they can have them out for two weeks.
