3 General Instructional Objective. Through this chapter, you will: practise to pronounce the English alphabet. you will recognize how to pronounce vowels, consonants, and diphthongs properly. learn the phonetics symbols of the alphabet. listen to the alphabet and the song.

7 VOWEL Vowel is a speech sound in which the mouth is open and the tongue is not touching the top of the mouth, the teeth, etc. In Bahasa: a, i, u, e, o In English: a, e, i, o, u aeiou /ei//i://ai//ə ʊ //ju/

8 CONSONANT Consonant is a speech sound made by (partly) stopping the breath with the tongue, lips, etc the letter of the alphabet that represents a consonant sound, such as: b, c, and d.
