1. HI MY NAME IS MINDY MUMAW THIS IS MY INTRODUCTION

2. A LITTLE ABOUT ME  I am 27 years old  I live in West Virginia  I have two sons, Conner who is 6 and Carter who is 2  As of now I am a stay at home mother.  I recently graduated here with Ashford with a BA degree in Applied Behavioral Science  I am now working towards my Masters Degree in Education with a specialization in Family Counseling.

3. SCHOOL AND ME  I grew up in a small town, went to a public school all throughout my life, and had attended college before Ashford, but soon quit.  After the birth of my first son, I realized I needed to go back to school not only for myself but for him.  I have had many memorable experiences throughout school but the most memorable experience would have to be the pride I felt graduating high school. I was the only child in my family to do so and move on to college.  Again, with that pride when I quit college after just a year I felt much shame, and uselessness. I knew I could do it, but at that time in my life I had too much on my plate for traditional school, then I found Ashford! This is my oldest Conner at his Kindergarten Graduation!

4. THE FUTURE  All I ask for my future is that my family is happy, we have each other and what we need to live and be safe.  For me in order to ensure this happens, calls for me obtaining a better education. Only though education can we strive.  With my education, I hope to obtain a career, one that I can help others who are down and in the same spot in life where I was once. I am leaning towards a human service career or counseling.  A masters degree will only strengthen my abilities to work in such a field, with children and their families who are in need. This is Carter my 2 year old. Boy, is he a handful!

5. “EDUCATION IS KEY TO SUCCESS” WITH MY EDUCATION, I AM NOT ONLY BETTERING MYSELF, BUT MY FAMILY. I AM PROVIDING FOR MY BOYS, AND PROVING TO THEM THAT IT IS POSSIBLE, THAT EDUCATION IS IMPORTANT, AND HOPEFULLY THEY TOO WILL SEE JUST HOW MUCH IS POSSIBLE WITH AN EDUCATION! My boys are my life, my future. And I am taking the first step towards making their future brighter by continuing school.
