2 The British flag is called the “Union Jack”or the “Union Flag”. It means the union of nations. St. Patric’s Cross, the flag of Ireland The Flag of the UK and Northern Ireland St. George’s Cross, The flag of England. St. Andrew’s Cross, The flag of Scotland.

3 England London is the capital of England. The national flower of England is the rose. The flower has been adopted as England ’ s emblem since the time of the Wars of the Roses - civil wars (1455-1485) between the royal house of Lancaster (whose emblem was a red rose) and the royal house of York (whose emblem was a white rose).

4 London.  The City of London, - 'the City'. (the business and financial heart of the United Kingdom).  Square Mile (2.59 sq km/1 sq mi) - the City of Westminster. (where Parliament and most of the government offices are located. Also Buckingham Palace, the official London residence of the Queen and the Royal family are located there too). Greater London. London is the biggest city in Britain and in Europe.biggest city London occupies over 620 square miles. London was the first city in the world to have an underground railway, known as the 'Tube'. 6 The sightseeing of London. Westminster Abbey Westminster Abbey is a symbol of England. The legend says that Westminster Abbey was founded by St Peter himself. It was built by King Edward in 1065. The coronation of all British Kings and Queens takes place here. Some famous English people are also buried here.

7 The sightseeing of London.  Buckingham Palace is the Queen's official and main royal London home. It has been the official London residence of Britain's monarchy since 1837. Queen Victoria was the first monarch to live there. Queen Victoria  The Palace has around 600 rooms, including 19 State rooms, 52 royal and guest bedrooms, 78 bathrooms, 92 offices, a cinema and a swimming pool. It also has its own post office and police station.

11 The sightseeing of London.  The majestic St. Paul's Cathedral was built by Christopher Wren between 1675 and 1711.  It is one of largest cathedrals in Europe.

12 The sightseeing of London.   The London eye was designed by the architectural team of David Marks and Julia Barfield, husband and wife.  It was build in 1999.  A giant observation wheel located in the Jubilee Gardens on the South Bank. The 135 meter (443ft) tall structure was built as part of London's millennium celebrations.

13 The sightseeing of London.   Piccadilly Circus is a busy square in the heart of London. It is famous for the fountain that was installed here at the end of the 19th century and for the neon advertising that turned the square into a miniature version of Times Square.Times Square  Leicester square is one of London's most lively squares situated in the heart of London's prime entertainment district. The abundance of theatres gives the area the nickname Theatreland.

14 The sightseeing of London.   Hyde Park is one of the most famous parks in the world. Hyde Park  Hyde Park is a large green lung in the center of London. It first opened to the public in 1627. The park has lots of open space and a large lake.  St. James's Park oldest royal park is one of the city's most romantic. The park was created in the 16th century by King Henry VIII.
