1. My school My town My country By Dawid Korc, Year 6 a – Poland

2. School I go to primary school in Burzenin. It’s a fantastic place! I meet lots of friends here and there are nice teachers.

3. The patron of our school is the priest Baltazar Pstrokoński This is the banner of our school. This is the shield of our school

4. My class In my class there are 17 students – 8 girls and 9 boys. We like each other very much. We spend a lot of time together and play different games between lessons and after school. We also help each other with our homework. We are as a big family!;)

5. My school isn’t very big, but there are lots of classrooms. In the English classroom there is modern equipment: Interactive whiteboard, projector and new furniture. It’s my favourite classroom! Apart from Englishs classrooms, there are other interesting classrooms. For exampe for science or history. We have got a fantastic gymnasium. It isn’t designated only for exercising. Sometimes we oganize there school assemblies, presentations and parties.

6. My favourite subjects are English, Maths, Information and Communication Technology and Physical Education.

7. My town Burzenin is a small village, which is located by the river Warta. In this village about one thousand people live. Although we haven’t got highways, cinemas and shopping centres here, in the holidays a lot of people arrive here. Why? Because it’s a beautifull place!

8. History Burzenin was founded in 1378 year. In 1419 Władysław Jagiełło gave the city rights, but in 1870 year they have been taken away. During the Second World War lots of inhabitants w ere displaced, because there was a German military traning ground

9. Monuments This is the Church of St. Wojciech This is the monument of Józef Pilsudski This is the cemetery

10. Other attractions River… Community sport and recreation centre… In the summer you can swim, sunbathe or canoe... If you like active form of spending time you can play voleyball, basketball and football…

11. Other attractions In my town there is a holiday resort „Sportowa Osada” There is also a nature park („Międzyrzecza Warty i Widawki”) where we can see lots of specific animals and plants

12. My country I live in Poland. This country is situated in the central Europe between the Baltic Sea to the north and the Sudeten and Carpathian Mountains in the south

13. General informations In Poland 38,5 million people live. The President of Poland is Bronisław Komorowski. Poland is a rapidly developing country, which belongs to different organizations: European Union, NATO, UNO.

14. The capital of Poland The capital city of Poland is Warsaw. This is the biggest city in my country… …but the first formal capital of Poland was Gniezno… …in 1038 the capital was moved to Kraków
