2. Ten Minutes Before the Testing Session 1. Log into BlackBoard and load PPT, 2. Log into the testing site: a.https://teach.mapnwea.orghttps://teach.mapnwea.org 3. Click on Manage Test Sessions, 4. Pick the correct premade testing session, a. listed by LastnameDate (ie: Soper11-2), b. if needed, clear the search bars, 5. Click Test Now, 6. If you know students that will be testing, you can start adding in names a. Click Add More Students, b. Click on students name and then assign test.

3. At the Start of the Testing Session 1. Add students to the testing session as they arrive, 2. Assign the correct test, either reading or mathematics, a. We will automatically assign students for the reading test during week 1, and math during week 2. BUT students can take either at any time. 3. Put up directions for students to get started on their test.

4. Getting Students Started... Once students have been added to the testing session, and have been assigned a test have them complete the following: 1. Go to the testing site, a.https://test.mapnwea.orghttps://test.mapnwea.org b.the test window will pop up in a new window, so you may need to help students find the login page, 2. Have students enter the testing name and password that you give them, 3. Students must then select their name from the list and confirm the correct test; 4. At this point YOU must confirm the student by clicking on Confirm Now, a. You will need to click Confirm Now a few times until all students are testing, b. If needed, click on Refresh, if you don’t see the notification “Awaiting to be Confirmed.”

5. During the test session... 1. Supervise the testing by making sure all students are steadily progressing through the assessment, not too fast and not too slow, 2. If students need to step away for whatever reason, you can pause or suspend their test, a. Pause is for students needing <30 minute break, b. Suspend is for students that need finish during another test session, 3. As a students finish, remind them to take the MAP Assessment Quiz in the Student Orientation course, 4. They can close all testing windows and leave the BB room, 5. When all students are done, click on End Testing Session, and then Save and Exit.

6. Pause and Suspend Pause is for students needing up to 30 minutes: Select student > Action window > Click on Pause or Resume. Suspend is for students needing to finish their assessment during another testing session: Select student > Action window > Click on Suspend, (For multiple students at the end of your testing session needing to finish another time) Select status > Testing > Action window > Click on Suspend

8. Welcome! You MUST be logged in on a computer, not a phone or tablet! If you are not logged in with your full name, please log out and log back in with your first and last name. In the chat box, please type in one of the following: I have not taken either test. I have taken the reading test. I have taken the math test. I have started the reading test, and need to finish. I have started the math test, and need to finish. Please make sure you have used the potty and have something to drink before we begin.

9. We will begin the assessment now... Please go to the following website: https://test.mapnwea.org A pop-up window will open with the testing login page. If you cannot locate this, you will need to allow pop-ups. Chrome: Click on the red X, then on Always allow pop-ups, and then Done.

11. We will begin the assessment now... Enter the following information: Test Session Name - Password - Select your name and then click on NEXT, Confirm your information is correct, click on YES, Wait for confirmation to begin from the proctor. **Once you begin testing, you may want to turn down your speaker so we don’t distract you if we need to talk**

12. Thank you for coming... After you finish your assessment, log into Canvas, and complete the MAP Assessment Quiz in the Student Orientation course! If you are done with one assessment, don’t forget to take the second assessment. If you are done with both assessments, you are AWESOME!! Thank you! **Students done with both tests at the end of the week will be entered in a gift card drawing!**
