The challenges of the forecaster (sender) are Direct contact (e.g., pilot briefing, advise by phone): to get as fast as possible a feeling which category fits best to the counterpart  motivation, understanding, acceptance Now direct contact (e.g., explanation of a warning situation in the internet): to use formulations/explanations that fits to as many as possible preferences of thinking One solution: HBDI HBDI: No relationship between cerebric and preferences of thinking/working Ned Herrmann developed a model of 120 questions in order to investigate the preferred styles of thinking or working. Based upon that the sender will get a better understanding of the receiver how he/she uses information and which working preferences exist. This will enable the sender to avoid misunderstandings or lack of interest.
