2 China’s occupation Tibet was occupied by the Chinese Communist Party in 1950 Over the last 60 + years the Chinese had put certain regulations over the Tibetans There has been approximately 1000000 Tibetans that have been killed 1.

3 Why does China want Tibet? China states that from the beginning of time Tibet has been part of China Tibetans states that they are ethnically and culturally different China uses Tibet for a majority of resources that it controls China takes control of mineral resources such as iron, copper and lithium Natural resources like farm land, timber, water, forest land, and pastoral land 2.

4 Areas of Tibetan Persecution Suppression of beliefs, religious scholars Tibetan culture and language devalued Assimilation with Han ethnicity State surveillance and control across Tibet 3. A way to stop the persecution is to stop is to recognize their own state Stop the immigration of Hans Chinese

5 What does Tibet want and why China won’t let go Tibet wants the return of their leader They want to make Tibet free Want human rights restored mainly religious right China wants control of the resources China needs the land as a boarder to India China states territory always belonged to China.
