3 Consider the graph of the equations y = ⅔x – 5 and y = x + 4 Two lines are perpendicular if their slopes are opposite reciprocals. (The slopes products equal -1) Opposite reciprocals -2 ½ 1 -1

4 Are the lines perpendicular? y = 1/3 x + 5 y = 3x - 7 y = 4/5 x – 7 5x + 4y = 12

5 Write the equation of the line passing through (5,1) that is perpendicular to y = ½ x + 3
