In this opening title sequence they use a split screen to see from the women's perspective and if someone is following her, watching her from behind which creates suspicion to the audience unknown on who is following her and why they are. Throughout the opening title sequences they give subtle hints for example the woman having a dog for vital protection and ginger hair which has connotations of a feisty personality.

The opening title sequences then show the women in different shots looking suspiciously around making the audience feel uncomfortable as the uneasy feeling is shown through her body language and expressions on her face. We are then introduced to another character in another split shot, the other character looking suspicious assuming that he is the person following the women.

This shot then causes confusion as the main character who we suspect is following the women is then played out to be followed to by the angle of the shot behind him, so we cannot see him full on. This is common in thrillers to add affect when filming. The characters are also introduced in French.

5. . The film is then introduced on a plain black background with white writing. The font is bold and clear showing simplicity but also contradicting itself with the past few shots.
