6 The Integrated Masters Programme ‘ the enhancement of practice and professional expertise must co-exist …with … critical reflection and analysis’

7 A Masters Module is:  A process through which high level critical reflection and analysis takes place  A dialogue between course members and a tutor  A period of time to nurture the development and hopefully successful completion of an assignment  A body of knowledge shared between tutor and student

8 Awards  CAPS (30 M level credits) Certificate of Advanced Professional Study  PGCert (60 M level credits) Postgraduate Certificate  PGDip (120 M level credits) Postgraduate Diploma  MA in Education (180 M level credits)

10 Assignments  30 credits 4000-5000 word essay or equivalent Submission date at least 6 months from last day of course – March 31 st or Sept 30th  60 credits 8000-10000 word essay or equivalent Submission date usually at least 12 months- March 31 st or Sept 30th

11 Assessment Modes  Critical Review of a Body of Knowledge  Developing Practice through a Project  Data Collection and Analysis  Reflecting on Practice  Making an Argument You cannot undertake the same assessment mode twice
