2 2 This document is intended for users that wish to benefit from the remote assistance functionality. Once the remote access is configured, the service technician will be able to remotely view and control the operator’s system screen, as well as carry out backups and updates. 3 Software Version CBox: v3.7.1 or later If an update of the CBox is required, it has to be done via MicroSD, as an update via USB does not enable this functionality Hardware Version CBox: C5 (check the serial number) If the CBox type is C4, a WiFi Kit is required to be able to use the WiFi stick. This kit contains a battery and adapter in addition USB-Stick WiFi « D-Link DWA131-E1 » Only this USB-stick is compatible with the CBox! 3 RequirementsRequirements

4 The CBox has to be connected through the internet via a WiFi access point. You may configure your Smartphone to make the remote access work. Follow the instructions for Android or iOS. Check with your provider that your cell phone contract is compatible with this feature. Ensure that you have a 3G, 4G or LTE connection. 4 WiFi Access Point

5 5 WiFi Access Point - ANDROID Go to the settings of your smartphone Once on the networks tab, click on networks and Internet connection sharing Check the box to enable the WiFi connection Hotspot Once checked, click WiFi Hotspot to set the access point and configure the HotSpot In the configuration window, enter a name for your access point, select “WPA" security and enter a password. Then validate Don't forget to disable the access point at the end of the remote access procedure

6 6 WiFi Access Point - iOS Go to Settings, then Mobile Network Go to Private Hotspot and enable it. Note: In iOS 8 or later, Private Hotspot functionality allows you to share your mobile data connection without having to enable connection sharing. Create a WiFi password when configuring connection sharing. Go to Settings  Connection Sharing OR Settings  Mobile Data  Connection Sharing, and then enter the WiFi password. Don't forget to disable the access point at the end of the remote access procedure

7 7 Connect the CBox to WiFi From any menu, click on the help symbol to open the help page. At the top right, click on the button “Remote Access”. Insert the WiFi stick and wait until the system detects it. Go to the tab "WiFi Access Point“, then run a scan. Select your access point from the list, then click on « Connect » Enter the password of the WiFi access point (the same as set on your phone). Return to the main screen to check the status of the connection.

8 On the main screen, make sure that the CBox has internet access Click 'Connect' to enter the internet address provided by the remote service operator. The CBox is now remote accessible. 8 Connect the CBox to the remote service
